Post Tracking & Tiering

Bounty_OS uses a 3-tier metrics collection system that prioritizes fresh and high-performing content. Posts are automatically assigned to tiers based on age and performance.

Collection Tiers

TierCriteriaUpdate Frequency
Tier 1 (Hot)Less than 24 hours old OR high view velocityEvery 30 minutes
Tier 2 (Active)1–7 days old, medium performanceEvery 6 hours
Tier 3 (Stable)7–90 days old, lower performanceEvery 24 hours

How Collection Works

  1. Posts are discovered via automated collection systems for TikTok and Instagram.
  2. New posts are collected every 3 hours from linked social accounts.
  3. Each post's views, likes, and engagement are snapshotted at tier-appropriate intervals.
  4. Metrics history is stored for trend analysis.

View Velocity

View velocity measures how quickly a post is gaining views. Posts with high velocity are promoted to Tier 1 regardless of age, ensuring viral content gets frequent tracking updates.

Velocity = (Current Views - Previous Views) / Hours Between Snapshots

Archival

Posts older than 90 days are automatically archived. Archived posts no longer receive metric updates but their historical data is preserved.

The tiering system runs automatically as part of each metrics collection cycle.
