How Bounty_OS collects and monitors post metrics using a tiered update system with 30-minute, 6-hour, and 24-hour collection intervals.
Bounty_OS uses a 3-tier metrics collection system that prioritizes fresh and high-performing content. Posts are automatically assigned to tiers based on age and performance.
| Tier | Criteria | Update Frequency |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 (Hot) | Less than 24 hours old OR high view velocity | Every 30 minutes |
| Tier 2 (Active) | 1–7 days old, medium performance | Every 6 hours |
| Tier 3 (Stable) | 7–90 days old, lower performance | Every 24 hours |
View velocity measures how quickly a post is gaining views. Posts with high velocity are promoted to Tier 1 regardless of age, ensuring viral content gets frequent tracking updates.
Velocity = (Current Views - Previous Views) / Hours Between SnapshotsPosts older than 90 days are automatically archived. Archived posts no longer receive metric updates but their historical data is preserved.
