Quick-reference definitions for terms used across the Bounty_OS platform.

A – C

TermDefinition
Active CampaignA funded campaign where creators can join and post content.
Archived PostA post older than 90 days, moved to cold storage with no further metric updates.
Auto-ApprovalAutomatic content approval for posts not selected for review from high-reputation creators.
Available BalanceCreator earnings that have cleared and can be withdrawn via Stripe.
Base RateThe minimum probability that any post will be selected for manual review, regardless of creator reputation.
Data Collection PartnerThird-party data provider used to collect post metrics from TikTok and Instagram.
CampaignA brand-created marketing initiative with budget, view targets, and content guidelines.
Campaign FinalizationThe end-of-campaign process: final metrics collection, payout calculation, and fund distribution.
ClawbackRecovery of previously paid-out funds from a creator found to have committed fraud.
Content ReviewManual inspection of sampled posts for quality, compliance, and authenticity.
Content TypeEither "original" (new content) or "repurposed" (adapted existing content). Each has independent targets and rates.
Creator BalanceA creator's total earnings stored in cents. Includes pending and available amounts.

TermDefinition
DemotionMoving a post to a lower tier when its velocity drops below threshold.
Engagement FraudArtificially inflating likes, comments, or shares through bots or engagement pods.
EscrowFunds held by the platform from brand payments until campaign finalization.
Express AccountA Stripe Connect Express account used by creators to receive payouts.
Finalization StatesThe pipeline a completing campaign follows: pending → awaiting_completion → ready_for_payments → processing → completed.
Fraud ScoreAn internal metric used to assess how likely a post's metrics are fraudulent. Posts above the threshold are flagged for review.
FTC DisclosureA legally required notice (#ad, #sponsored, or verbal) that content is paid promotion.

TermDefinition
High-View ThresholdPosts with high view counts are automatically flagged for manual review.
Metrics SnapshotA point-in-time recording of a post's views, likes, comments, and shares.
Minimum Sample RateA minimum percentage of campaign posts are reviewed, regardless of individual probabilities.
Multi-accountingCreating multiple Bounty_OS accounts to earn duplicate payouts. Results in permanent ban.
Original ContentNew content created specifically for a campaign. Typically earns a higher payout rate.

P – R

TermDefinition
Payout RateEarnings per 1,000,000 verified views, set by the brand when creating a campaign.
Pending BalanceEarnings credited but not yet available for withdrawal (awaiting finalization or Stripe transfer).
Post CollectionAutomated discovery of new posts from linked social accounts, run every 3 hours via our data collection partner.
Post SamplingProbabilistic selection of posts for manual review during campaign finalization.
Post TieringAssignment of posts to Tier 1 (30min), Tier 2 (6h), or Tier 3 (24h) based on age and velocity.
PromotionMoving a post to a higher tier when its velocity exceeds the threshold.
Reputation ScoreA value reflecting a creator's content quality history. All new creators start at a neutral score.
Repurposed ContentExisting content adapted to feature a brand. Typically earns a lower payout rate than original.

TermDefinition
Stripe ConnectPayment infrastructure used to transfer earnings from the platform to creator bank accounts.
Surplus RefundAutomatic refund to brands when a campaign exceeds its view target by more than 1.5%.
Target RatioIn surplus refund calculation: MIN(1, target_views / actual_views). Determines the refundable portion.
Tier 1 (Hot)Posts less than 24h old or with high view velocity. Updated every 30 minutes.
Tier 2 (Active)Posts 1–7 days old with moderate velocity. Updated every 6 hours.
Tier 3 (Stable)Posts 7–90 days old with low velocity. Updated every 24 hours.
VelocityThe rate at which a post is gaining views, measured over 6-hour and 24-hour windows.
Verified ViewsView counts confirmed by independent third-party collection, used for payout calculations.
View TargetThe number of views a campaign aims to reach per content type. Drives auto-completion detection.
View VelocityShorthand for velocity — the change in views over a specific time window.
